DESCRIPTION:
Gebrüder Junghans, Schramberg, Germany, mantel clock, 8 day, time and strike with Westminster chime, spring driven movement in a tambour-form mahagony case with an arched silvered dial with Arabic numerals, subsidiary chime/silent selector and rate adjustment, all with with blued steel hands.
CONDITION:
The case has an original finish with some minor scratches near the feet and on the back. Silvered dial is good with a bit of a hazy coating, perhaps from polishing. Arched beveled glass is excellent. Blued steel hands are original. Movement is signed with the Junghans trademark as well as "6.14 ". Chime plays on four chime rods and strike sounds on a coiled cathedral gong.
